Citation Format For Research Papers
Citation Format For Research PapersThis article covers the importance of citation format for research papers. It can be a real turn off for a student if he or she comes across a paper with a dry citation in a language he or she is not familiar with. The work should then be reworded to have the appropriate citation style. There are three basic types of citations in research papers: the standard, the supporting and the author's signatures. In many cases, it is important to use all three. For example, the author signature is a part of the formality of the paper and is present for more than two reasons. Firstly, it gives an indication that the writer has signed the paper. Secondly, it also gives the author his or her own name, which is very important for the academic world. The standard citation is usually provided with two-word abbreviations for names of authors. If the paper is published, it is often printed at the end of the paper to identify the author's name. It is important to note t hat this method is not necessary if the paper has been written by an undergraduate student who has a large body of research to cite. The accompanying author's signature adds a third sign for the same purpose as the standard one. It is placed below the standard signature. In a number of cases, a student will find that the author is not his or her own name but instead a series of letters. In such a case, it is usually better to use a supporting author's signature. Some authors provide biographical information or significant incidents that have happened in their lives. They should always be provided with proper citations. Sometimes this may require some cross-reference. But for studies conducted on small groups, it is quite acceptable to have a form of author's signatures. It is also an important citation form because it is a way of stating an acknowledgment of the reader of the paper. The author does not wish to declare a piece of work as his or her own, but has a lot of data to cite. It is a signal to the reader that he or she is willing to give permission to have it cited. Thus, it is mandatory to provide the citation form with proper names of the author and page numbers. Finally, the main form of citation is the standard one. It is usually used for a simple paper and is also found after the authors' names. It contains only the author's name.It is always wise to follow the guidelines set down in the form. But in some cases, the format may not be followed. In that case, there is no harm in making minor corrections or re-writing the paper. This will help the author to be recognized for the paper and it will be easy for the reader to identify the work.
